A lightning quick hedgehog is the perfect oxymoron for a video game character, and it is one that has served Sonic the Hedgehog well for a whopping 30 years now. And the blue blur has been through almost as much as a regular 30-year-old during that time: girlfriends, betrayals, facelifts and reinventions, Thanksgiving parades, cloning, cartoons, feature films, brand crossovers, peaks, troughs and everything in between.
SEGA have just announced a multi-year, global toy licensing deal with world renowned toymakers and the US market leader, JAKKS Pacific, to manufacture and distribute toys based on the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog brand!
Much alike to the first Synchro Hedgehogs title, and the two Butterfly games that have recently landed on console, 2 Synchro Hedgehogs tells the all too familiar tale of an animal embarking on a journey for… something. I’m not sure the story is that important - all you need to know is that 2 Synchro Hedgehogs instructs you to control two twin hedgehogs simultaneously, testing your brain matter in tricky puzzles.
Sonic Origins was a wonderful celebration of all things Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic Origins Plus however, causes the overall compilation to miss more than it hits.
